Environment

Roger Haydock & Co. Ltd. is committed to sound procurement of its timber products from well managed woodlands where legality and sustainability is paramount.

We are members of the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and the Timber Research & Development Association (TRADA).

CHAIN OF CUSTODY.

Through BM TRADA accreditation, we have been pre-assessed under the scheme for TRADA-TRAK Chain of Custody for both FSC and PEFC for sawn and machined timbers. The Company will be audited for CoC mid 2007.

CPET.
The Government Procurement Advisors are encouraging sustainability and legality of purchases and are backing Chain of Custody. We will work with our customers to encourage certified material to be purchased and give advice on any timber procurement issues that arise.
Our concern for the environment is best illustrated in our support of the Sabah Foundation.

We work with and for nature. As members of the Timber Trade Federation we comply with the cutting edge of sustainable forest management principles.
We support the Wood for Good Campaign because we believe that wood is good for the environment, has good performance, and that wood looks good. Before steel, concrete, bricks and stone, people used wood. Properly, (i.e. responsibly) handled wood is not only lighter in weight, but machines to a fine finish. It brings man into direct contact with his environment, a natural product that lives on the same planet as mankind.
